Findling schoolVisp, Switzerland

The FINDLING project complements the existing urban ensemble with two new buildings, each with its own appearance and character. The division of the program into two volumes makes it possible to reduce the size of the buildings and create two new points of attraction within the buildable perimeter. This structuring also enables an architectural response corresponding to the project program's uses.

The double gym is located in the north of the property and fits in next to the adjacent sports buildings. The two all-weather pitches are on the roof of the building and are accessible independently of the gym. The facilities are accessible from all sides and invite people to meet.

The primary school and kindergarten are located to the east of the site. The building's geometry and architecture fit into the existing school complex "im Sand". The school's architecture takes up certain elements of the existing buildings and interprets them in a contemporary way. The orientation of the building volume was chosen so as not to create parallels with the building "im Sand Nord" or the "Kleegarten" project. This gives the school its own orientation, which enables the creation of various outdoor areas around the building.

Within, the Kindergarten and most public rooms occupy the ground floor, the teachers and auxiliary rooms remain contained on the first floor, and classrooms fit like pieces of a puzzle to create clusters around a non-linear open circulation.
